Fire hits Marjum Memorial School

Itagar, Jan 31: A devastating fire completely gutted three rooms of the administrative block of a school in West Siang district of Aruchal Pradesh destroying many important documents. According to an official report, the fire which broke down in wee hours on Monday, completely reduced to ashes three rooms of the administrative block of Marjum Memorial School at Yeggo in the district. All origil certificates, registration cards and CBSE records from 2010 till date, were reported to be completely lost in the fire accident. The interl exam papers of class IX and X for the year 2016-17 and all electronic equipments and furniture in the three rooms were also completely burnt to ashes. District Disaster Magement Officer Nima Dorjee rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, the report added.
