Fire in Duliajan

DULIAJAN, Nov 12:   A fire broke out on Wednesday night in the bamboo houses of Quarter no.A-Type : 171 and A-type : 172 in which valuable property was destroyed.  According to sources, due to electric short circuit fire broke out at Arun Daimairy’s kaccha house of Quarter No. A-Type:171 where beds with clothes were completely burnt and later the fire spread to the nearest kaccha house of quarter No. A-Type : 172 of Hari Das Dey, an employee of Rig building department of OIL.  A Maruti Alto car (AS-23-J-1311) and one Hero Glamour Bike bearing registration No. AS06-G-3888 were gutted in the fire. The fire also spread to main quarter of A-172. In main quarter, a TV and AC were destroyed. Two fire brigade vehicles were rushed to the site and succeeded in dousing the fire.
