Fire in goods train averted

Bongaigaon, April 16:  A major fire accident was averted on April 15 by Railway staff in Bongaigaon station. A Railway staff said that a grass (animal food)-loaded train was coming from Dhanu Road Railway station in Maharashtra and going towards Military yard of Rangiya junction. “The train arrived in Bongaigaon station at 7-45 am and had a crossing with down Bohagi passenger train. At around 9 am we noticed fumes from one bogie (109375). Immediately the fire brigade called and with the help of Railway staff, the fire was put out. Most of the grass in the bogie was destroyed,” he said.
