Fire in Lumding

Hojai, April 20: A devastating fire broke out at Lumding under Lumding Police Station in Hojai subdivision of gaon district. As per sources, around 10 pm on Saturday night, a fire broke out behind the Lumding railway station at Crossing Bazar. The fire completely gutted 53 shops as well as some houses in the colony. The reason for the fire has still not been confirmed. Police and fire brigade reached to the spot and maged to douse the flames. Property worth around Rs 40 lakh to Rs 50 lakh was destroyed in the fire.
