Firing at Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary

Morigaon, January 4: There was an exchange of fire between forest guards and a gang of poachers at the Kukuri range in Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary in Morigaon district on Sunday.

According to sources, acting on a tip–off, a team of forest guards tried to apprehend a gang of poachers and there was shooting between the two groups for almost two hours. No casualty was reported till the filling of this report.
