First biennial conference of AJYCP Jhanji regiol committee concludes

GAURISAGAR, July 30: The first biennial conference of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP), Jhanji Regiol Committee was held at the public auditorium Jhanji recently with a day-long programme.

The programme started with hoisting of flag by Devabrata Gogoi, president of AJYCP Jhanji regiol committee followed by smriti tarpan performed by Gautom Gogoi, secretary, AJYCP Jhanji Regiol committee. Later an open session was held under the chairmanship of Rajendra Prasad Gogoi.

The dignitaries who attended the meeting were educationist Prafulla Baruah, Jogesh Kishore Phukan, Principal of Amguri Aauniatia Hem Chandra Dev HS School, Indra Kamal Phukan, Kula Prasad Saikia, Devajit Dutta, president and secretary respectively of AJYCP, Sivasagar District Committee. Noted sport organizer Anta Kakoti took part in the meeting as a guest of honour.

In the meeting the organization felicitated Binud Saikia, Dulen Baruah, Simanta Baruah and Udoy Kumar Baruah for their outstanding contribution in field of making of dhol, reeling muga pat and textile.  Besides, more than 100 meritorious students were felicitated by AJYCP, Jhanji Regiol Committee for their good performance in the HS and HSLC examition.
