First in NE and fifth in the country

SHILLONG, Oct 29: Meghalaya is the first state in the Norh East and the fifth in the country to launch Vahan 4.0 and Sarathi 4.0, an online based software application for Registration of Vehicles and issuance of Driving License. It was launched by the State Minister of Transport HDR Lyngdoh  at the Conference Hall of Main Secretariat in Shillong on Thursday. Vahan 4.0 is an upgraded version of the existing software (Vahan 2.0) that is currently running across all RTOs/DTOs in the State and aimed at improving upon the existing system in many ways. The application has been designed and developed by the tiol Informatics Center, Transport Division, New Delhi.
