First IUI baby born in Heema hospital

Itagar, April 4: The infertility unit of Heema Hospital here, which was established a year back with IUI (Intra Uterine Insemition) laboratory, created a record of sort with the first IUI baby born on April 1 last. The 3.5 kg healthy baby was normally delivered, Dr Kesang W Thongdok, Medical Superintendent of the hospital said in a press release here today. State Health & Family Welfare Minister Rajesh Tacho has congratulated the CMD of Heema Hospital Dr Byabang Ra and appreciated the effort of senior gynecologist Dr S Ahmed for the achievement. Dr Amed had undergone advanced training in infertility in Singapore, the release added.
