Five cabinet berths demanded

Rangia, May 23: The new government led by Sarbanda Sonowal will take oath on Tuesday. The Kalita Jonogosthi, Assam, has demanded at least five MLAs from their community should be included in the new State cabinet. In a press release, the president and general secretary of the association, Dr Bhaben Chandra Kalita and Dr Ramen Kumar Kakoti respectively, said that there were 18 MLAs  from the Kalita community who won in the recently concluded assembly polls and at least five of them  should be included in the new ministry. Moreover Ramen Deka, the only MP of Assam from the Kalita community, must be included in the Central ministry, they demanded.
