Five coal-laden trucks seized

Jowai, Sept 19: Even though the tiol Green Tribul (NGT) has banned the mining and transporting of Coal from Meghalaya, the illegal transportation of coal still continues in EJH. East Jaintia Hills District police seized five coal-laden trucks and bbed four persons involved in illegal coal transports. The police caught these five trucks at Moopala Village EJH around 4:30 morning on Saturday. The police also arrested four drivers, Mulieh Syrti, Moon Kai, Tei Dkhar and Bun Lamurong in the incident.
