Five killed in road mishap near Samaguri

NAGAON: In a tragic road mishap on NH-37 near Samaguri Rangagara under Samaguri PS on Saturday night, total five persons died. Three were killed on the spot and two others later died in Nagaon BP Hospital. Two sustained severe injuries.

According to police sources, the deceased have been identified as Balin Das of Bhimargaon, Roshidul Haque of Gerua, Sofikul Islam and Soriful Islam of Samaguri Barama. The sources added that police were yet to identify one deceased person till filing of this report.

The tragic accident took place when a Wagon R car (BR01BC 1619) from Sivasagar to Nagaon had a head-on collision with a truck (AS03 BC 2355) coming from the opposite direction on NH-37 near Samaguri Rangagar, the sources added further.
