Five persons bbed with iron pipes stolen from OIL

DULIAJAN, March 23:  A joint operation team of OIL security and Duliajan police arrested five persons along with 709 stolen iron pipes in a pick-up van on Sunday morning at gajan Tili under Duliajan police station. Based on specific operation, the joint operation team launched the operation and apprehended five persons with iron pipes in the pick-up vehicle bearing vehicle registration no.NL04-D-5107. These five were allegedly involved in stealing iron pipes from gajan OIL camp.

The arrested five persons has been identified as Abhodesh Rai (30), Jitendra Rai (27), Kunjesh Rai (60),Ukil Rai (60) and Biswa th (60), all residents of Tinsukia Chirapotty.

The main culprits are, however, absconding. Duliajan police has registered a case against the five thieves and brought all of them to Duliajan police station. According to sources, the value of the iron pipes is around Rs 10 lakh.
