Silchar, May 31: Ramanuj Gupta Junior College of Science, Arts and Commerce, situated at Ambicapatty in Silchar, has always been the very best when it comes to academic, achievements and brilliance. This year, three students of Ramanuj Gupta Junior College and one from Hailakandi Junior College secured a place among the top ten rank holders in the Assam Higher Secondary Final Examination, 2018, which was conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council. The results of the examination of all three streams, Science, Arts and Commerce, were declared on Thursday at 9.30 in the morning.
Prithwiraj Dey of Ramanuj Gupta Junior College, Silchar, secured 4th rank in Science stream with 479 marks, Sayan Paul and Kuntala Gupta of the same College secured 6th and 7th rank with 460 marks and 459 marks respectively in Commerce stream. Yash Sarda of Hailakandi Junior College has secured 8th rank with 458 marks in Commerce stream and Md Shakil Akhtar of SV Vidyaniketan HS School, Karimganj has secured 8th place in Science stream with 473 marks. This has added another feather to the College’s cap. 85.74 percent pass percentage in Science, while 74.68 percent students in Arts and 84.64 percent students in Commerce streams have passed respectively.
