Flood preparedness meeting held

Golaghat, February 19: A meeting was held at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Golaghat on Thursday for preparedness for flood and storm in the district. The meeting was presided over by the District Disaster Magement chief and the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Arul Haque. In the meeting officials of Health, PWD, Education, Social Welfare, Municipal Board , Veteriry , Water Resource and Soil Conservation departments were present. In the meeting, the DC Arul Haque ordered to take necessary steps and special care for pregnt women and children during flood and storm situations and also orders were given to all departments concerned to submit flood magement projects before February 27.
