Floods wreak havoc in Dikhowmukh

GAURISAGAR, September 1: As many as 2,000  people  of Rupahimukh and Saraguri  area under 103 no Amguri LAC in Sivasagar revenue circle and Sivasagar  district  have been  affected  by flood caused by incessant rains over  the last week resulting in overflowing of the Brahmaputra. The overflowing water of the Brahamaputra and the Mitong river have submerged Rupahimukh Kumar, Rupahimukh Mising villages  and damaged  agriculture land, livestock  and paddy field of greater Jakaichuk. The flood water has also submerged the historic Ramkhapith.
