'Food Security Act not properly implemented'

Sivasagar, March 11: The Food Security Act, which was passed in July, 2013 has not been properly implemented in the State. The Grahak Suraksha Samiti has expressed resentment over this. Chairman of the Sivasagar division of the organization, Jugendra th Baruah, and general secretary Pranjal Rajguru, said that because of the inefficiency of the Food and Civil Supplies Separtment of Assam, the Act had not been properly implemented. Even though the Assam government has been promising to get the act implementation, no action has been seen so far till date.  This time, the government has given March 31 as the deadline for the Act to be implemented.
