Football coaching camp at Balipota

MANGALDAI, July 2: “Promising talents in the sports and athletics are available in the rural areas of Assam, however these talents are often facing negligence from the government or the sports organizers. Ten year old ‘Wonder Kid of Football’ Chandan Boro of Harisinga in Udalguri is one of the glaring examples of such negligence. However he is lucky enough to make his way to Germany to undergo six year long special coaching in football at this very tender age”-said sports organizer cum chairman of Mangaldai Municipality Board Pratap Bordoloi while inaugurating the one month long summer football coaching camp at Balipota near Deomornoi in Darrang district on Sunday. The newly formed Balipota Sports Association has taken up the initiative for organizing the football coaching camp for the first time in the locality with a view to find out the budding talents of the locality.

In the function presided over by Prabin Saikia, physical instructor Deben Kumar Barua, social activist Khitindra Kumar Sarma and Tarun Baishya also spoke on the need for organizing such coaching centers in every villages of the state. Karuna Barua, Nalini Saikia, Namal Boro and Diganta Barua will take part in the coaching coach.
