Football meet held at Athiabari village

Boko, Nov 20: Aradonga Garo Students’ Union (GSU) members in tandem with people of Athiabari and Arodonga had organized a football tourment at Athiabari village in West Khasi Hills, Meghalaya. The tourment started off on October 18 and fil was played yesterday. Altogether 24 teams participated here out of which Police team Nongstoin DEF and Mykhuli football teams. Police team won by a score of 2-0. Hero of the match was Mike Mawlot and best goal keeper award was won by Broncho Boro. Army band from Army Camp Boko also played Garo songs for the locals and Motivatiol lecture was delivered by Capt Tushar to promulgate such events for benefit of youth and also motivated them to join Army. In the ceremoney PWD Minister of Meghalaya Martin Dangngo also took part, who gave speech to public.
