Foreign tourists get stuck at harlagun station

Itagar, March 16: Two foreign tourists, who arrived here by train Monday morning, were reportedly stuck for some hours at harlagun Railway Station for not possessing Protected Area Permit (PAP).  Two foreign tourists, one Dutch and another Swedish, were stuck at Arrival Lodge at harlagun Railway Station as they did not possess PAP. They were handed over to M/s Mercy Tour & Travel, Itagar for necessary help and assistance in getting PAP.  Later, PAPs for the tourist duo were arranged with the help of Director Tourism Karma Leki. Later, they proceeded to Pasighat to attend the Aruchal Spring Festival.

The proprietor cum maging Director of M/s Mercy Tour & Travel, Tadar Robin urged the Railway department to give necessary information regarding the requirement of PAP/RAP for foreign tourist(s) visiting the state overleaf the train ticket as done for domestic tourists, so that no tourist visiting the state faces such kind of embarrassing situation.
