Forest guard attacked in Kachugaon

KOKRAJHAR, Oct 1: A forest guard posted at Gangia River forest camp under Sanfang forest Range of Kachugaon forest division received serious arrow injury due to attack by unidentified miscreants with bow and arrow on Friday night at around 9 pm in Kokrajhar district. Sources said unidentified miscreants attacked with bow and arrow from close range and the forest guard received serious injury. He has been identified as Dayal rzary (50), a forest guard posted as in-charge at Gangia River forest camp under Kachugaon forest division. rzary said that unidentified miscreants attacked him at night in the forest camp with bow and arrow in which he received serious injury. He was sleeping after dinner at the camp while he was attacked by unidentified miscreants. He was admitted first at Kachugaon Hospital but later referred to Kokrajhar in critical condition. Subash Basumatary, a forest staff of Kachugaon division, said that he received information about the attack and rushed to the camp.
