Forest Minister visits Panidehing Bird Sanctuary

From a Correspondent
DEMOW, June 16: Forest Minister Pramila Rani Brahma visited the Panidehing Bird Sanctuary of Demow on Thursday afternoon along with Kushal Dowari, MLA of Thowra Constituency. On August 10, 1993 the State Government had declared the Panidehing Bird Sanctuary though no minister had allegedly visited the bird sanctuary all these years. Having a Forest Minister visit the area for the first time, the local people interacted with the minister and urged her to take necessary steps for protection and conservation of Panidehing Bird Sanctuary. The Forest Minister assured that the Panidehing Bird Sanctuary would be developed and she would try to solve all the problems of the area. She also urged the local people to create an environment conducive for birds.
