Former AASU leader passes away

Doomdooma, Nov 30: Former AASU leader and assistant teacher Ratan Sonowal died of jaundice at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh on Wednesday. He was 46 and is survived by his wife and only daughter, besides father and mother. He hails from Dangari, about 15 km away from here and actively participated in the Assam Movement. He was loved by all for his amiable disposition. His untimely death had cast a pall of gloom in Doomdooma and Dangari area.
