Former Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta Leads Protest in Delhi against Citizenship Bill

GUWAHATI, Aug 6: The Asom Andolan Sangrami Manch, led by former Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta and other leaders of the historic Assam Agitation on Monday staged a demonstration at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi in protest against the Centre’s move to introduce the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016. Mahanta after the demonstration that the Bill, if converted into a legislation, will have disastrous consequence in Assam and make the Assam Accord as well NRC update completely irrelevant.
