Former DC and Tai researcher passes away

JORHAT, April 20: Retired Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Haflong and former president of Purbanchal Tai Sahitya Sabha Parishad, Keshav Dihingia breathed his last at 5:30 pm in Jorhat on Monday.

The deceased also held the position of the vice-president in Tai Sabha, besides being the president of South Jorhat Tai Kalakristhi Sanskritic Kendra till his death. Keshav Dihingia was also the former member of Tai Unyan Parishad and was an avid researcher on Tai language. Born in Titabor in 1938, the noted persolity started his schooling in Moran and pursued college at the prestigious JB College in Jorhat and first started his career from Mihi Ram School (MRS) at Titabor.
