Former Meghalaya footballer earns NIS diploma

SHILLONG, JULY 13: Amity Tongper, a prominent footballer from Jaintia Hills region, has successfully completed the Netaji Subhas tiol Institute of Sports (NSNIS) Patiala Diploma Course in Football Coaching. Tongper, a resident of Mynthong locality, Jowai in West Jaintia Hills District, is one among the seven students from the North East states who was selected for taking up the diploma course.  Tongper had earlier participated in the Santosh Trophy along with All India Inter University and junior level competitions. He also represented Lajong FC, Rangdajied FC and few other top clubs.
