Former MLA Debeswar Bora passes away

Golaghat, Feb 27: Former chairman of Agriculture Marketing Board and former MLA of Golaghat, Debeswar Bora passed away on Sunday night at his residence in Guwahati. Debeswar Bora, who represented the AGP in 1985, became MLA from Golaghat. Later, he joined the Congress and became the president of the District Congress Committee where he served for 10 years. Debeswar Bora had played an active role in the Assam Agitation. He served in the Trimool Congress also. Debeswar Bora’s demise was mourned by several organizations and individuals in Golaghat.
