Former PM Vajpayee’s demise condoled by All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU)

KOKRAJHAR: The All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) on Friday paid homage to former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. ABSU general secretary Lawrence Islary, former Rajya Sabha MP Urkhao Gwra Brahma, ABSU workers, students, local people and media persons participated in the shradhanjali programme and paid floral tribute. In his speech, the ABSU leader said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a great leader who could understand the Bodos and was committed to finding an honourable settlement of the Bodo problem. He said it was during his leadership that the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Accord was signed in 2003 and the Bodo language was included in the 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution. Former ABSU president and former Rajya Sabha MP Urkhao Gwra Brahma said Atal Bihari Vajpayee was one of the most popular ministers, respected by all sections and recognized by world.

Namrup: Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s demise was deeply condoled at Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited on Friday and a minute of silence was also observed at the company’s administrative building premises in the presence of chairman Jagadish Bhuyan and MD Ratul Bordoloi for the eternal peace of his blessed soul. BVFCL also mourned the demise of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and organized a condolence meeting at the administrative building to pay tribute to the departed soul

JOYSAGAR: An urgent condolence meeting was held in the Sivasagar BJP office on Friday where BJP workers, as well as BJYM and BJMM workers, mourned the demise of the former Prime Minister, a towering iconic party leader, poet and a man of genius, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Another condolence meeting was also arranged by the Sivasagar Nagarik Shanstha in the Boarding Road office on Friday and senior citizens remembered the contribution of the great leader.

KALAIGAON: Journalist Federation for Assam (JAFA) expressed deep condolence at the demise of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Lonsing Teron, president; Arun Sarma, vice-president and Kunja Mohan Roy, general secretary of JAFA, said that Vajpayee’s demise was a great loss to the entire nation. They also prayed to the almighty for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

TANGLA: The Udalguri district committee of All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) on Friday organized a shraddhanjali programme on Friday at the Bishnu Rabha Kristi Sangha premises in Udalguri town to pay rich tributes to Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The programme initiated with the hoisting of the national tricolor at half-mast followed by floral tributes to the portrait of the veteran BJP leader. President of Udalguri ABSU, Ratendra Daimari anchored the programme, including the condolence meet, which was attended by citizens from all walks of life.
