DOOMDOOMA, March 17: Biraj Goswami (43), a former leader of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) cum cricketer died in a road mishap on Thursday near Radha-Krish temple in Dibrugarh. Police said the accident took place when he was on the way to Assam Medical College Hospital (ACMH), Dibrugarh along with one of his cousins. Biraj father Dayamoy Goswami, a resident of Azad Road, Doomdooma was admitted in ICU of ACMH. Biraj was returning to hospital after having meals in a hotel. His body was brought to Doomdooma today afternoon after completion of post-mortem. All shops of the town downed the shutters from 3 pm to 5 pm in respect of departed AASU leader.
