Foundation day of Dhekiajuli Senior Citizens’ Association observed

DHEKIAJULI: The 15th foundation day of the Senior Citizen Association of Dhekiajuli was observed with a day-long programme on Friday at Na Chahar Mmiddle English School, Dhekiajuli. The day-long programme was attended by all the members of the association. For this purpose, a general meeting was held which was presided over by its president Dhruba Prasad Nath. The purpose of the meeting was explained by Atul Saikia, the secretary of the association.

Mantosh Chakraborty of Dhekiajuli who cleared his ACS final examination was offered warm felicitation in the meeting. A health check-up programme among the association members was also carried out by some doctors.

At the end of the meeting, the previous executive body of the association was dissolved and a new committee was formed with Dhruba Prasad Nath as president and Shachindra Biashya as secretary.
