Foundation stone of CHD office of Soil Conservation laid

KOKRAJHAR, December 9: The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) soil conservation department laid the foundation stone of the office of Council of the Head of the Department (CHD) of Soil Conservation to be built at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.33 crore at Habrubari in Kokrajhar on Tuesday. The foundation stone was laid by the EM of Soil Conservation Jagadish Sarkar.

Talking to media persons, BTC EM of Soil Conservation, Bodoland Transport Services and Cooperation, Jagadish Sarkar said the department had no office of its own. Considering the necessity, the foundation stone of the CHD office was laid today.

Sarkar said the soil conservation department had been playing important role in development activities in rural areas of BTC. He asserted that Hagrama Mohilary, the chief of BTC, had emphasized on all-round development in BTC region.
