Foundation stone of girls' hostel of BU laid

KOKRAJHAR, June 2: The Deputy Chief of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Kampa Borgoyary on Wednesday laid the foundation stone of a 100- bedded girls’ hostel in Bodoland University (BU).
The foundation stone was laid in presence of Prof. HK Baruah, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Sekhar Brahma, Registrar, BU, Director of Education, BTC, RS Borgoyary and other officers of the university, faculty members and students. Dr. HK Sahoo, Director of Students’ Welfare, BU gave the welcome address.
In his deliberation, the deputy chief of BTC, Kampa Borgoyary said that foundation of another hostel for boys with accommodation for 100 students would be laid soon. He added that a new academic science building and auditorium hall would also be built by BTC as soon as possible. He also said that Rs 10 crore would be provided by the Department of Education, BTC, annually for the development of Bodoland University.
