Foundation stone of open stage laid at Boldampara

Donkamokam, March 15: Local MLA of 20th Boithalangso LAC, Dr Mansing Rongpi on Wednesday laid the foundation stone of an open stage at Boldampara LP School playground in West Karbi Anglong district in presence of the president of Karbi Anglong Garo Union (KAGU) Louis Marak, Semphor Sangma and others. The scheme will be implemented under MLA Local Area Development Fund from the period of 2015-16 and will be constructed with sanctioned amount of Rs 10 lakh.
The MLA, while addressing a meeting at Boldampara, said, “The commitment I had made two years ago during the Wangala Festival held here is being implemented now and I will be happier during the iuguration of the stage.”
He urged the people to keep a close watch on the construction work in order to avoid anomalies.
