Batadrava, Oct 4: MLA of Batadrava, Angoorlata Deka on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of two important link roads from Itakhuli to Kapahera via Khandajan and Kapahera Suruguri to Bakarichuk. Itakhuli to Kapahera link road via Khandajan will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 2.4 crore and Kapahera Suruguri to Bakarichuk link road will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 66 lakh under RIDF XXII BARD Fund (2016-2017). These roads will provide road connectivity to the people of at least dozens of villages and other adjoining areas.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Angoorlata said that she was on her mission to construct all the dilapidated roads of her constituency and provide better road connectivity. The MLA assured the public that the present government was determined to translate their commitments into action by providing connectivity to the rural areas and maintaining the already constructed roads. Angoorlata also med the Itakhuli to Kapahera link road after martyr Gubhiram Bordoloi. Actor-cum-social activist Akashdeep Deka, officers of gaon Rural road division, BJP activists and thousands of local people were present in the programmes organized in two different locations.
