Dibrugarh: The foundation stone of the Waste Disposal Centre at Mohanbari Gram Panchayat was laid by DC Pallav Gopal Jha at an event on Monday. He, at the same time, also attended a meeting revolving around waste disposal system.
The project was implemented by the joint efforts of the Public Health Engineering Department and Department of Rural Development. It will be the State’s first waste disposal centre at the gram panchayat level. At the event, Numaligarh Refinery Limited, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, presented one TATA Hopper Tipper and three PVC dustbins. It was followed by a tea sapling plantation drive from Mohanbari Tiniali to Dibrugarh Airport. The owner of Mohanbari Tea Estate had presented the Dibrugarh administration with 5,000 tea saplings for the beautification of the said area.
