Four Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad Workers Arrested For Robbery

SIVASAGAR: Four workers of an organization were arrested by Namtola Police in Sonari on Saturday. The workers have been arrested on robbery charges. The arrested members have been identified as Plawan Sharma, Sahil Hussain, Pallabjyoti Sharma and Jewel Hazarika of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad (AJCP).

According to sources, another accused in the same case named Sandip Neog, who is a central committee member of AJYP, is on the run. The four workers were arrested after a case was filed against them by local businessman Manik Malakar for beating his driver and robbing money in Namtola. The incident occurred on November 11 last year.
