Four Dacoits Apprehended by Dibrugarh and Tinsukia Police

TINSUKIA: Dibrugarh and Tinsukia Police in a joint operation arrested four dacoits while they were coming by bus from Tinsukia to Dibrugarh after looting a person. They looted Rs 3 lakh from a retired police officer from Tinsukia at about 12.30 pm on Saturday. These dacoits throw monkey crab (bandor kekura) powder on their target and snatch the money bag. They use different modus operandi to loot valuables from their targeted persons during busy hours in the market. Police have recovered some cash, fake PAN cards, screw drivers, different tools and monkey crab powder from them. They have been identified as Anurag Singh, Ritesh Roy and Subham Das, all from Cooch Behar, and Vishal Das of Patna. One managed to run away.
