Four held on charges of murder

Margherita, April 24: Four youths have been arrested in connection with the murder case of Shiva Kataki. The murder took place on April 17 at BhitorPowai Primary School of Margherita. 22-year-old Shiva was murdered during a Bihu function at the school premises.  Acting on a tip-off, Margherita police arrested four youths. The accused have been identified as Pradip Showrak (32), Achinto Showrak (23), Kaalia Showrak (25) and Ajoy Showrak.  All the four accused hail from the BhitorPowai area under Margherita police station.  The deceased Shiva Kataki was watching the Bihu Programme at BhitorPowai Primary School when he was killed brutally. His body was thrown in a nearby drain.  The family members of the victim have demanded capital punishment to the accused.  Margherita police have registered a case (number 104/15) under IPC sections 457 and 302.
