Four houses gutted

Itagar, Jan 11: A fire mishap which occurred on the wee hours of Sunday at Tame village here devoured four SPT dwellings of Mami Recho, Rencho Recho, Raka Recho and Kotung Ragmo into ashes.

All the family members of the houses were fast asleep when the incident took place so accordingly the cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained, revealed Seppa Circle Inspector.

Though there were no report of casualty but the entire belongings including utensils, clothes, books of children and orments approximating Rs 25 lakh have been destroyed by the inferno.

On receipt of information Education Minister Tapang Taloh who was on district tour of East Kameng along with Parliamentary Secretaries Mama tung and Kumsi Sidisow, East Kameng DC S K Singh rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation.

After viewing the condition of the four families in the chilling cold, Taloh provided blankets as immediate relief to all the families while both tung and Sidisow provided utensils and some fincial help.
