Four shops gutted in Bhergaon

TANGLA, May 1: A major fire ravaged four shops at Bhergaon Charali on Saturday afternoon. While no one was injured, the damage to property was huge, sources added.
The fire reportedly broke out at RK Hardware store at around 8.20 pm. It quickly spread to several shops on the same complex in just a few minutes. The devastating fire engulfed as many as three other stores mely Ree Grocery Store, Nikamsa Internet Cafe, and Ratneswar and Kaushik Cloth Store. The blaze destroyed assorted items like building materials, groceries, food items, clothes and electrical gadgets.
Fire and Rescue Services personnel from Tangla, Khoirabari and Duni battled hard for hours to bring the fire under control. The heavy downpour came as a blessing in disguise which assisted in bringing the fire under control by 9 pm.
