Four students hurt in Makum mishap

TINSUKIA, May 9: Four school students suffered injuries in a road accidents at Langkachi under Makum police station in Tinsukia district on Friday.

Four students of Makum Sankardev Sishu Niketan –Chiranjit Moran, Parismita Moran, Chittaranjan Saikia and Vikram Moran —suffered injuries when their auto rickshaw bearing registration number AS-01-5063, in which they were travelling was hit by a Maruti van. The front side of the auto rickshaw completely damaged due to the accident.

Immediately after the incident, the students called their family members for help and they were rushed to Assam Medical College Hospital (AMCH).

Sources said all the students were out of danger now. Three other persons including the auto rickshaw driver also received minor injury. They have been admitted to Tinsukia Civil Hospital.
