Fraud farm vanishes after cheating people

BISWATH CHARIALI, April 24: Sensation prevailed here on Tuesday when a firm of fraud business firm—‘Abhishek Traders’—vanished from here after collecting huge amount of money from local people on Monday night.

Sources said that a group of people had opened a business establishment near the LIC Building here around 15 days back  and started to sell several items including almirahs , electronic goods, mobile handsets, household utensils at unbelievable cheap rates drawing huge crowds.

After that the farm began advance booking from new customers for the delivery of those goods. They also recruited some local youths as salesmen for this purpose.  But after collecting a huge amount of money in the me of advance booking, they disappeared from the town on Monday night.

Meanwhile, the district administration has sealed the building on Tuesday following a  complaints filed by  the people who were cheated. The Sub Divisiol Officer (SDO) has ordered a probe into the incident. A case has been registered at Biswath Chariali Police Station here in this connection.
