Free check-up for heart diseases held

KOKRAJHAR, June 1: A free medical check-up for heart diseases and awareness programme was organized jointly by the MRM Memorial Hospital, Kokrajhar and Medanta - the Medicity, Gurgaon, Delhi recently in Kokrajhar.

Dr. bajit Talukdar said that they jointly organized the free medical check-up and awareness programme on heart disease for patients in the district. He said that more than 100 patients turned up in the free medical camp from the different parts of the district. Dr Talukdar said that they detected many patients with high blood pressure in the free check-up. He also said that the heart disease could increase the risk for the people who are excessive consumers of alcohol, smoke cigarettes and excessively eat fast food.
