Free eye check up camp

Guwahati, May 17: Topcem Cement in association with Sri Sankardeva Nethralaya, Guwahati organized a day long Free eye care camp at Chikaniapara village in Boko recently. This is an initiative Topcem cement conducted in the rural areas of the Kamrup district with an aim to provide free eye care services to the economically disadvantaged people of the area. A total of 178 patients were screened for eye diseases by a team of ophthalmologists from Sankardeva Nethralaya, Guwahati. In the camp, all patients were given routine examinations and prescriptions for refractive errors, a press release stated.

Speaking about this initiative, Dr. Anil Kapur, President - Sales & Marketing, Meghalaya Cements said, “Giving back to our communities remains a corner stone of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) and we are committed to improving the quality of life in our community.”
