Bongaigaon: The troops of the Chirang based Army unit of the Red Horns Division, along with the civil administration, organized a medical camp under Operation Sadbhavana at the remote Sulekhaguri village on Saturday with an aim to render medical assistance and to spread health awareness.

A team of six doctors from various disciplines, including four Army doctors, along with paramedic staff and nursing staff provided their much-needed expert consultancy. Special teams from leprosy, malaria and tuberculosis department also provided their services in the camp.

Vital medicines for various ailments prevalent in the area were distributed to all the needy people, who had turned up for the medicine camp in large numbers. A total of 535 persons benefitted from the medical camp.
