Free Textbooks Distributed to Hundreds of Destitute Students of Golaghat District, Assam

Golaghat, July 29: In order to provide basic education to underprivileged students and boost a healthy educational system in Golaghat district, the Golaghat Regional Students’ Union took an initiative to distributed free textbooks to the students from poor financial background on Saturday. The textbook distribution programme was held in the premises of Swahid Bhavan in Golaghat under the presidentship of Angsuman Baruah, president of Golaghat Regional Students’ Union. The aim and purpose of the programme was elaborated by secretary of the organization, Biswajit Gogoi. They provided textbooks to as many as hundred students.
