Free veteriry camp held in Digboi

DIGBOI, Feb 18: Under the aegis of Laipuli Brigade, Digboi Battalion and Field Veteriry Hospital of DAO Division jointly organized a free veteriry camp on Thursday morning at village loni No 1 in Digboi in Tinsukia district.

A team of veteriry doctors and veteriry nursing assistants from Field Veteriry Hospital of DAO Division examined the domestic animals and provided necessary treatment, de-worming and vaccition to the ailing livestock.

An awareness lecture was also conducted during the camp so as to enhance the existing knowledge of the locals that would help them raise their livestock effectively and extensively to become self-reliant.  

A similar camp was carried out earlier at Lakhipather in Digboi with similar goal-oriented objectives. Again under the same banner, a different free health and eye check-up camp was organized at Pengaree followed by dental check-up where beside awareness talk, free medicines were distributed among the ailing and needy people of the remote location.
