Free veteriry camp organized

MARGHERITA, May 15: Under the initiative of Digboi Forest Division, Tinsukia District Veteriry and Animal Husbandry Department and Hindustan Oil Exploration Company, a free vaccition and medical camp for cattle living near the forest villages was organized on Sunday by Sanjeevani Northeast Socio Economic Welfare Society NGO at Powai Bongaon, Margherita.

More than 160 cows and goats were given free vaccition today. Amrit Hatimuria and Ra Dutta, president and secretary of Sanjeevani Northeast Socio Economic Welfare Society NGO, said that many projects had been taken up by the NGO in Margherita subdivision and with the support of the people of Margherita, these projects had been implemented successfully.

On June 5, World Environmental Day will be observed at Margherita India Club by the NGO.
