FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT

ITAGAR, Feb 20: The Green Aruchal Foundation (GAF) while appreciating and welcoming the decision of state cabinet to forward the origil copies of 60-page notes “Mere Vichaar” written by former chief minister late Kalikho Pul to the Ministry of Home Affairs has at the same time appealed the Central government to look into the matter at the earliest.

Appealing the Centre to initiate a CBI enquiry into it, the GAF further expressed surprise on how ADM Talo Potom, who was appointed to take over the charge of investigating the case, was uware and ignorant about the sealed notes, whereas the police on the other had claimed to have a copy of it.

The GAF appeals the Centre to initiate a fair investigation, rather than resorting to political high handedness and it also appeals both state and central governments to seize the power of those political leaders and legislatures whose mes have been mentioned in ‘Mere Vichaar”, a statement from foundation’s chairman Takam Tatung said.

Further while expressing gratefulness to Union Home Minister Rajth Singh for taking out time to attend the Statehood Day celebrations, GAF appealed him to focus and reflect on the issue of the suicide of late Kalikho Pul during his address to the people of state.
