galand governor congratulates Chief Minister Zeliang

GUWAHATI, May 2: The Governor of galand & Assam PB Acharya has congratulated Chief Minister of galand TR Zeliang on being awarded the prestigious Global Award for ‘Lifetime Achievement in transformation’ at the 6th Global Lordship Awards 2016 Ceremony held at Pullman Bali Legain Nirwa Hotel, Bail, Indonesia on April 23 last.

In a press release, the Governor said, that the people of galand were proud that TR Zeliang was selected for the award by a panel of renowned professiols from all parts of the world based on his leadership qualities and contributions in various fields. The Award had made galand proud.

In the release, Acharya further emphasized that Northeast India especially galand, can play a vital role in Government of India’s Act East Policy and all should avail the opportunities that the policy entails for the region particularly the Northeastern States which share not only geographical contiguity with the South East Asian tions but other affinities such as culture, culiry and racial similarities.

“Now that the world community has duly recognized TR Zeliang’s leadership qualities and capabilities, I am sure that we can play a pivotal role in meaningfully realizing the objectives of Act East Policy,” the Governor said.
