Gamosas seized in Demow

DEMOW, April 11: Just a few days ahead of Rongali Bihu, under the order of the State Handloom and Textile Department, a team led by Circle Officer of Demow, ndita Roy Gohain, along with Demow police raided several cloth shops in Demow in Sivasagar district and seized more than 200 gamosas. Sources said that these gamosas had been manufactured in power looms in other States which is a violation of the Handloom (Reservation of Articles for Production) Act, 1985.
